Pediatric Therapy
For children their primary occupation is PLAY. Through play pediatric occupational therapy at PhysioCare helps children gain independence and promotes development in fine and gross motor skills, sensory motor skills, visual motor skills, cognitive and social skills that children need to function and socialize in their homes, school, play and community environments. An occupational therapist provides interventions to children who have, or are at risk of having, developmental delays and are experiencing difficulties functioning in one or more areas of their lives.
Diagnosis may include but not be limited to:
- Lack of coordination
- Autism
- ADHD
- Cerebral Palsy and other neurological disorders
- Sensory processing disorder
- Delayed developmental milestones
- Developmental disabilities
- Delays in fine motor and visual motor skills directly affecting academic performance
- Down Syndrome and other genetic disorders
