Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a prescription to begin physical therapy?

No. Connecticut’s direct access law allows you to start physical therapy without a physician’s referral. Some insurance carriers do require a prescription for coverage, so we recommend confirming with your plan. Once treatment begins, we’ll keep your physician informed of your plan of care.

What should I bring to my first visit?

Please bring a prescription if you have one, your insurance card, and any relevant medical claim information. Wear clothing appropriate to your injury — shorts for a knee or ankle issue, a loose or sleeveless shirt for a shoulder issue. Gowns are provided if needed for neck or back care.

What are your hours?

We’re open Monday through Friday, 7am–7pm, and Saturday 10am–2pm. We’re closed Sundays.

Do you offer telehealth appointments?

Yes — PhysioCare offers Telehealth visits for physical therapy and pediatric therapy through Physitrack, and these can be covered by insurance.
